When you access our website, we collect and process the following data: 

• Refer­ring website;
• Browser type and operating system used;
• Your IP address;
• Requested files, trans­ferred data volumes, downloads/file exports;
• Infor­ma­tion about the websites you visit on our site, including date and time. 

We transfer this data to Hetzner Online GmbH, Germany, which exter­nally hosts our website, on the basis of a data processing agree­ment. This processing is neces­sary pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR to safeguard our legit­i­mate inter­ests. Our legit­i­mate interest lies in ensuring the function­ality and technical security of our website, in partic­ular to defend against attacks on our web server. 

We use Google reCAPTCHA on our website and engage Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. As part of the verifi­ca­tion of whether you are a human, we process in partic­ular your IP address and user behavior such as time spent on the website as well as mouse or touchpad movements. This processing is neces­sary pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR to safeguard our legit­i­mate inter­ests. Our legit­i­mate interest lies in protecting our website from abusive automated spying and spam.

If you contact us via the contact form, the personal data you provide will be processed solely for the purpose of handling your request. If your inquiry relates to an existing contrac­tual relation­ship or you are inter­ested in concluding a contract, processing is neces­sary pursuant to Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Other­wise, processing is neces­sary pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR in order to respond to your inquiry with the relevant infor­ma­tion. If you volun­tarily provide optional infor­ma­tion, processing is based on your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

You may subscribe to a free newsletter on our website. During regis­tra­tion, we collect the data entered by you, in partic­ular your email address. Processing is carried out pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR on the basis of your consent. 5. Batemo Insights Account

You can create an account on our website to gain access to Batemo Insights. When creating a customer account, we process the personal data you provide in the regis­tra­tion form. This processing is neces­sary pursuant to Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for contract perfor­mance or pre-contrac­tual measures. 

If you download datasets or other content via Batemo Insights, these will be marked with a digital water­mark that uniquely identi­fies the platform as the source and links the respec­tive content to the corre­sponding customer account. For this purpose, we process the personal data you provided when creating your account. This processing is neces­sary pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR to safeguard our legit­i­mate inter­ests, which lie in ensuring platform security, preventing misuse, and, where applic­able, pursuing legal claims in cases of misuse.

This website uses cookies. Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. Techni­cally neces­sary cookies are required for the opera­tion of our website. We maintain a publicly acces­sible presence on the social network LinkedIn to provide additional oppor­tu­ni­ties to contact us or obtain infor­ma­tion. When visiting our LinkedIn presence, personal data is processed not only by us but also by LinkedIn Ireland Unlim­ited Company, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland. We process personal data of regis­tered and non-regis­tered visitors. You use LinkedIn and its functions at your own respon­si­bility, partic­u­larly inter­ac­tive features such as sharing or commenting. 

Data processing is based either on your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where contrac­tual relations are concerned, or other­wise on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR based on our legit­i­mate interest in optimizing commu­ni­ca­tion and our social media presence. 

8. Applications

If you apply for a position with us via career@batemo.de, we process the personal data you provide solely for the purpose of handling the appli­ca­tion process. Processing is carried out pursuant to Art. 88 GDPR in conjunc­tion with § 26 BDSG. No data is shared with third parties unless you provide explicit consent. 

9. Data Deletion and Storage Duration

We adhere to the princi­ples of data minimiza­tion and storage limita­tion. Personal data is stored only as long as neces­sary to fulfill the stated purposes or as required by statu­tory reten­tion oblig­a­tions. After expiry of the purpose or statu­tory reten­tion periods, data is routinely deleted or blocked in accor­dance with legal requirements. 

10. Recip­i­ents of Data

Access to your personal data is granted only to persons who require it to fulfill their tasks. Where applic­able, we engage service providers under data processing agree­ments pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Other­wise, data is disclosed only where legally required, in partic­ular to super­vi­sory or law enforce­ment authorities.

We transfer personal data to service providers outside the European Economic Area only where described in this privacy policy, where required for contrac­tual oblig­a­tions, where legally required, or where you have provided consent. Where applic­able, data trans­fers are based on adequacy decisions issued by the European Commission.

You have the right of access, recti­fi­ca­tion, erasure, restric­tion of processing, data porta­bility, and the right to object. You may revoke consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a super­vi­sory authority.
